Summer is over

Now the summer is over, school starts tomorrow.YIPPPPEEEEE
Yes I have been looking forward to this day since June 21st.
Trying to keep 3 kids happy is a lot of work. Besides I can't get any real work done with them home.
Now on to other things.
I helped Tom with fixing the trailer today. Yea I did a lot to help all I did was help guide the tires on to the hub, a little lifting . If my handds get dirty then I helped O.K. To reward me for helping I got my right little finger squished by the damn thing. I hurts having a semi tire set on your finger over 100 lbs. It was just a little squish but it hurt alot then not now but I want to milk it for a while o.k.
I did not fell like knitting or crocheting or beading so I sat down to read.
Tony Hillerman's the Sinister Pig. I don't remember how many of his books I have read but I have enjoyed everyone.

whooo hooooo

Whoo hooo I found some yarn the I got when Granny passed some years ago and I thought it was wool but was not sure now I am sure.
The balls that had no lables on them kept me wondering until I was told to put snip=its in bleach wool will desolve and it did. Now I have 2 shades of green and 2 shades of red. Now what to do with it, I just have 4 balls.

As for Cordi asking me to write my doll pattern I have done this. I just need to type it up and to figure out how to explain the hair. I will do this even if I have to draw the pics to show how it is done. I will have to draw it because I don't have a camera to take photos, Tom does not think one is nessessary.

I got patterns for to make me some more dresses I want one in the fall print but sis poopooed the idea.If I find a print I like I will do one any way.I love to wear dresses just for everyday wear sometimes.

I was going through my box of finished crafts and found my supply is down and needs to be replentished. I am sure once the kids are back in school I can get more done, but I never know what Tom thinks is an emergency and I have to quit what I am doing to do something for him.

Tom is going to be home sometimes tomorrow/today and will be home for a few days so nothing is going to get done and the house will be in an uproar. He is almost as bad as the kids. LOL.
But I love him.

I finished # 4

I finished doll number four today. Just got it done when I ran out of yarn and relized I need to make two more, but I don't need them till Jan.
So I worked on the mukluk ornaments this afternoon while watching the kids in the pool at my sisters. I got four of them ready to be stuffed and trimed with fur. they are cute and I make some to look like tiny moccassins(sp).
I really am looking for school to start next week, but hope to get a day of fishing in before school.
The guys are in sidney, Nebraska I hope they get me some turkey feathers fron Cabellas. I need some for beading. They will be home on monday.
I need to get a honey do list.

Poor Nicole

Poor Nicole she went to her friends to go swimming and sleep over and swim the next day too. I spent the afternoon at the Doctors Office with her. She has blisters on her feet and the bottoms of her feet are red. The Dr. says she has a mild chemical burn from the pool. She needs to limit her time in the pool from now on and put some ointment on after swimming. Who would have thunk it.
While waiting for the Dr. I had some time to crochet. I got most of a doll done there and almost finished it at home tonight, but I ran out of yarn so I finish it tomorrow.
What a day.

Fun Day

Today was a fun day. First I started out by cleaning the living room and vacuming . Then I got the shampooer out and set up for work.
Then Nicole called and said she was bored at her friend and to come and get her.I got there to pick her up and then she said she wanted to stay longer and that Kimmy could go swimming too. How could I say no. Just then some of their other friends came to go swimming too. An hour turn into 6. Yes we were there for 6 hours the kids swimming and the grown ups visiting. Sandy was putting up a building for her pets and we were watching her paint and it really looked like fun. Yes I said looked like fun, we all grabed a brush and helped her paint.
we got the building done by dark, and it was fun.
I can't wait till next sunday we will be there again for a party.
And if today was not a party then sunday is going to be a blast.

Lazy Day

Today has been a lazy day nothing much got done. I took Nicole to her friends house for the night and chatted with her family while the girls showed Kimmy all the animals there. There are quit a few too. Chickens, peacocks, rabbits, cocatoo (damb it big white bird I can't spell), and a new hermit crab, and lots more.
On the bright side I did finish the third doll.

Peaches

Peaches 22 quarts of peaches. Well 21, 1 jar broke in the canner, what a mess.
Today I canned Peaches. I love canning peaches. I did 2 big boxes. I ran out of jars, where did all my jars go to? So I had some left over so I made a cobbler.Yummmmmmmmmmy.
I did not do any crocheting today because my wrist was hurting and feeling swollen. So I let it rest. I had to go to JoAnnns and get some yarn to complete the project.
I did do some of that organizing I have been putting off. Yes I did do it!
I had to do something while the peaches were processong didn't I.
Now the book shelves need to be next. :(

Raspberrys

O.K. I did what I had to do today I got the van smogged and then tagged.
Thats done till next year.
Then I drove out to McKenna a little town just south of here about 13 miles, I could have gone into Tacoma for the farmers market for peaches same amout of miles but a pain in the butt parking. You can park for an hour about two blocks away. I was not , I say NOT going to carry two boxes of peaches two or more block about 40 lbs. NO WAY.
So I drove out of town to a fruit stand on the side of the road.
The owner had just got there from Yakima, where the peaches come from, and was unloading the pick-up. I told him to just keep carring two boxes to my van, they are not quite ready to can yet but come sunday they will be good and ready. So to do something today I got a flat of raspberries, I made jam. I be jammin man. I'm not a real fan of raspberry myself but Tom and the kids like it. I have one jar of plum left so I should go looking for more plums. I think I have blackberry juice in the freezer so I don't need to find a blackberry bush except to freeze for cobblers. We like blackberry coblers.
I am still thinking of going up to the hills to pick some huckleberrys. That would be good for jam and cobblers. mmmmmmm.
I'm about half way through the third doll I am making.
I still have a lot to do to get things organized around here. I guess by putting this in writing will make it harder not to get it done. I am sort of committed to it right.:/

I finished a doll

Today I finished a crochet doll and got a good start on another one.
I was thinking about getting a lug or two of peaches and doing some canning. I love to can. If it weren't for the gas prices I would love to go pick huckleberrys and make some jam from them, or freeze for cobbler later on this year. I am thinking of doing some dill pickles too.
I feel so good after I do the years canning and jams and jellies, makes me feel like I have done good for the family and it reminds me everytime I go to the cupboard and get out something out.
I need to organize my sewing I got a quilt started lone star in greens I think I would like to keep this one for myself if I ever get it done.
sort out the fabrics I got for other quilts and get them going to but for now I need to finish up on these dolls since I'll get paid for them.lol

ouch!

Yesterday I was helping my sister move her swimming pool and I sliped and fell, right on my (_!_) oops make that (__!__). I landed on my butt and then the momenton of the fall I continued to fall and slamed the back of my head. Jared me so hard I saw floaties for 1/2 an hour. Today my butt is sore and my back is stiff and my neck and head hurts.
Today was better meaning no falling down, hehe.
I did about an hour of work this afternoon for the trucking co. Then I did nothing else for the rest of today, but about an hour of crocheting. I am making a doll and need to do the legs and then stuuf and put together and do the hair, I think I'l finish it tomorrow,(maybe).
I got some great beads at the ren. fair on sat. now all I need to do is find some green thread to either knit or crochet an amulet bag. I need to organize my beads again I for got what I have and where I put it all.LOL.
I can't wait till school starts so I'll have more time to do more stuff.

Another day

Well here it is another day. I never did beleive in keeping a diary but this might be fun.
Today I went to a ren. fair it was the first time going to one this big, before I had only gone to a small one day event this one must have been over a 100 booths and shows going. I think I would have had more fun without my girls and a few of their friends, it was hot and dusty and alot of people, (to many people) and the girls whined because I would not buy them something. I bought some beads.
We stopped a JoAnn's on the way home patterns were on sale and the clearance fabrics too.
I finished one of the dolls I was making and have a good start on another, I want to move on to another project.But I got to many going now.
I hope this is not to boring.
HUsband leaves in the morning and he is taking son with him for a couple of weeks before school starts. He has been home for a few days now and I am ready for him to go, he has been a grump.
Maybe I will get more done.

I did it

Well I did it. I got a blog site and now I am really writing something on it.
My name is Priscilla and I live in Washington. I love to do most any crafting like knitting, crocheting, sewing, quilting, beading, drawing, and I do a lot of canning.I can do any needle work but these are what I enjoy.
My husband is a long haul trucker, we own our own truck and we are independent operators.We have 3 kids a girl 13, a boy 11, and another girl 9. With him gone all the time I am like a single mom. I used to drive truck and I still have my class A, so some day I will return to the road, but for now I stay home and raise the kids, doing the full time mom thing. I don't want to give all my secerts away the first time out so you'll have to come back later.
