Out of the Blue

Yesterday hubby got a call from the owners of the house we rent. Just out of the blue and asked if we wanted to buy the house. We would love to but we are not in a place financially to even think about buying at this time. We are working on it and now have a big goal to work for. Tom called him back today and explained that we would not be ready for 3 years as we have it planned. There are a few things I would like to have done before we buy the house. Like 3 trees removed and 1 trimed back by an arborist and checked for disease. There are also twin fir trees that we would like removed too, but these could be sold for timber. I would also like for the sewer line to get roto-out I think that the dam tree roots are in the drain. The fireplace and chimney or the house was ever inspected after the earthquake in 2001. I would like to convert the fireplace to gas, it would be better for Kim.
The owner has agreed to wait the 3 years and not put it on the market. This means we can get a hot tub and not worry about having to move it. I can paint the rooms what ever color I want. Add a wall of shelves and cupboards. There is so much I can do now and not worry about having to remove it, but I am not going to do this all at once it will take time, a long time.

How was your long weekend?
Mine was long, with the huby home and the kids. We did a lot of work around the house or I should say I did. I cut back all the trees and bushes from the fence line that hung over my side of the fence. That filled 2 yardwaste containers and left a pile to put in the conainers after the pick-up. Tom painted on the flatbed trailer so it will look nice, we are going to sell it when it is done. The girls did some cleaning in the house but not a lot. They got another dresser to put in their room so they sorted out the clothes they had on the floor because of no room to put them away, they are getting rid of 4 bags full. The boy mowed the yard and raked it up and then headed back to my sisters for the weekend.
Both my wrists were hurting after the yardwork so there was no crafting done till late last night. I strung a hank of beads onto crochet thread and that is all I can say on that till later. I will get pics when it is done and post after it gets recieved. I have been doing a few of them this past couple of weeks though so I might keep one for myself.
I need to get some more crochet thread to match the beads I bought. Micheals here I come.
It is going to be hot here, ok not hot as in 100's but very warm hi 70's and low 80's, this week and I am going to take this time to washout the inside of my mini-van. There has been a lot of spilled soda and such in it. I will be able to keep the windows down for a good dryout. I did this in the winter and had a hard time getting rid of the fogged up windows.

You're Siddhartha!

by Hermann Hesse

You simply don't know what to believe, but you're willing to try
anything once. Western values, Eastern values, hedonism and minimalism, you've spent
some time in every camp. But you still don't have any idea what camp you belong in.
This makes you an individualist of the highest order, but also really lonely. It's
time to chill out under a tree. And realize that at least you believe in
ferries.

Wow this is so close.

You Are the Middle Finger

A bit fragile and dependent on your friends, you're not nearly as hostile as you seem.
You are balanced, easy to get along with, and quite serious.
However, you can get angry and fed up with those around you. And you aren't afraid to show it!

You get along well with: The Index Finger

Stay away from: The Pinky

OK my hubby and I met with the principal and the HR director last Friday. I am still not sue what they are going to do but another parent has a complaint about the teacher so maybe they will do some looking. The 3 girls may not get any discipline action for making false statements. That sucks. I am going to the school board meeting just to listen in not say anything unless I get really pissed.

Tuesday Kim came home from school all broke out in hives and we don't know why. I gave her some Benadryl and put Benadryl ointment on her. I had her sleep with me to keep an eye on her during the night. On Wednesday I kept home from school to make sure she was ok. She is doing fine and can go back to school tomorrow. I still have no idea what made her break out like that.

Even though I am not supposed to, I did some crocheting today. I can't tell you what it is because it is for a swap. I am not supposed to do any thing that uses my thumb for another 4 weeks but I can't not do anything. I have read 3 books already. I took it easy just crocheting for 1/2 hour at a time then put the brace back on for 4 hours then crochet again. I can't wait till I can knit and crochet for hours and hours again.

The knot is still there on my wrist below the thumb so time to heat then off to bed.

Another Turn on This

Thursday, May 03, 2007
Oh boy, what a week.
First I had to go to school on Monday and have my daughter removed from one of her classes. Choir class to be exact. She loves music and she loves singing, but the teacher is a jerk. On Friday Nicole was getting a headache and she was going to take her meds for migraines and he stopped her saying it was illegal for her to give herself meds at school. She has a permission slip from the Dr on file in the health room and in her back pack with her meds. She has had migraines since she was an infant and she does not like taking the preventive meds but the Excedrin Migraines work for her if she takes them at the start of a headache. He told her she could not take the meds and would not even look at the permission slip. Then he started to belittle and ridicule her in front of the other students in class. She was very upset about it and he kept it up for the rest of the class. When she got home from school she told me about it. So on Monday I went to the principal and demanded for her to be removed and that he apologizes to her in front of the class and then to my husband and me for putting her through all this. What I really want is for him to be fired for his lack of professionalism and his lack of control in the classroom. I have questioned his ability to teach music before, I never thought he could the way his past choirs always sounded. Nicole always asked me if he was teaching her the right way when she was not sure. Then she would tell him that I disagreed with what he had said. Kind of like the part in The Waterboy when he said to the teacher "but my mama always says" and she got the same kind of response. Next week is an open house day at school to celebrate our native heritage and my hubby is taking time off to be there, he wants to meet with the teacher and Principal. If things don't get straighten out I will be going to the school board. It's a good thing that Nicole is sweet and loved by her other teachers.

On Tuesday I got a call from the school resource officer and he told me that he need to talk to Nicole. Some of her so-called friends have said that Nicole told them that the above named teacher had RAPED HER. How could her best friend say something like that. Nicole talked to the Officer and the she had to talk to the principal about it. They would not tell her who her accusers are, but she knows their handwriting. One of the girls reads her journal online and she is the only one at school who does and she printed a copy of it to give to the principal. My Daughter knows how to be safe on line and did not give the school or names except the teacher as Mr. Anderson, no one online knows what school she goes to or where she lives. So this print out has details of the confrontation on it but nothing that would be linked to anyone. The three girls are in band and have the same teacher. They like him very much. I think he is a troll of a man and has no talent in music or teaching.
When I told my hubby about this his thought went to "That Bastard has turned this to save his butt" (We work with that kind all the time.) I really would not put it past him to do something like this. I mean all he has to say is Nicloe was saying that so the girls or anyone could hear it and boom TROUBLE! The girls had signed statements too.

Nicole was talking in the hall with some of her other friends between classes and the vice-principal said she was making a scene and to go the office. Nicole was not talking loud or about anything that had happened. She was kept in the office for over 3 hours not allowed to go to the restroom or even to lunch. She was not even told why she had to sit there so long either.
I AM SO PISSED RIGHT NOW!!!!

his afternoon is a PTSO meeting at school and I think my Hubby is going to go with me, I know he will be at school tomorrow with me almost all day. Yes we will make a scene at the Culture Day Celebration if we had to. Yesterday I told my sister about this new twist and she told Dad at dinner and he is foot-stompin mad too. Both sis and Dad will be at school too. My sis' kids go to this school too. Her son is the same age as Nicole, he knows these girls too.

I could spit nails!

I have not been doing any crafting in this past week because my right thumb and wrist is hurting bad. I went to the Dr today because of resting over ten days it was not getting better. I have tendinitis and muscle strain. I will need to rest it and wear a brace till mid June. Like I can do that. Have you ever tried not to use your thumb on you predominate hand. I have things to do. I will do little at a time and rest often.
Good night for now.
