I have been very busy.

Yep. Busy,busy, busy.
The first one is a store bought bee costume because she did not want a homemade costume this year. So I bought it for her, she picked it out and now she does not like it. 14 year olds! What to do with them.
My son the Jester. He wanted red and black but I could only fine black and white. So I made the outfit in B&W and then dyed it. It is not red enough or the right shade of red but he is happy with it and I bought him a hat that almost matches. The one I made did not quit turn out right. The bottoms are jammies and the top I made up
Then there is the kamono. I had no pattern and not a lot of fabric to do the whole job so I pieced it with another piece. I think it looks good. And she loves it.
I started the "Intolerable cruelty" skirt I spied on Kari's blog.
I would link it but I don't know how.
I don't know how to do a lot of stuff on the computer, but I don't mind. I can learn if I want to.
Anyway I am making the skirt for the 14 year old she has the body for it. Carion SS, country blue.
Hubby just escaped from Denver in time, before the big snow hit. Big truck+lots of snow=real messy. He is heading back to this coast and maybe home this weekend.
I played hookey from faimly night at school tonight. I think my body wants to catch a cold but I am fighting it back. No time to get sick I just don't have enough time on my schedule. Ha! Like we have time to be sick.
Oh well, time to go. Good night everyone.

Another update

After some antibiotics and prednazone and an inhaler it is like Kim was never sick.
Still a small cough but way better.
I got my new bed today! Yeah me. Now I'm not sure about going from king to queen. I have so much more room in the room we might get another dresser to go in there. Move hubby's tall narrow one to my side of the bed and get a long short one for his side.
More places for my stuff, hehe.
I am almost finished with my 6th pair of socks and now I am thinking about getting a book on socks. I like using worsted weight yarn and have a lot of it to use and knitted socks are more comfortable than crocheted ones.
I have a bad habit.
I fondle beads, caress yarn and touch fabric. Sometimes at home and sometimes in public. Sometimes in private. Sometimes inappropriately.

Update on Kim

Kim has bronchitis and wet lungs, near pneumonia. Her temp over night reached 102*.
I talked to the school nurse on the way to the Dr's she said Kim only complained about having a headache and her temp was 97.3* and did not ask to go home early.
So now she has an inhaler and meds for the nebulizer as well as antibiotics and prednazone(sp). I'll keep the inhaler in my purse and she will use the nebulizer at home, I am keeping her home from school tomorrow, but when she goes back and needs it I will drive there and give her the dose of the inhaler.
I do get a bit jumpy when it comes to her lungs health. She was born almost 3 weeks early with a heart murmur, had jundice and in hospital for 3 days, she almost made the liver transplant list, then respitory sensory virus when she was 7 weeks old and spent 4 days in the hospital. When she was 2 she had an episode of respitoy distress that sent us to the ER in an ambulance from the dr's office, we spent 8 hours there that day. She has had a few minor breathing problems since then but not real bad and has never been dianosed with asthma. She has had pneumonia 2 times, once when she was 6 and when she was 8.
Kim will be 11 in about 3 weeks. I almost lost her 3 times in her short life.
We are hoping she out grows the lung problems instead of getting asthma.
She has been crocheting for 2 years now, she is very good at drawing and crafts.
She has won awards for her drawings and crocheting. She gets very good grades and is in the highly capable class. We are very proud of her.

Aurgggggggggg Monday

Monday is it over yet.
First I didn't get my new bed I got the room shampooed and everything.
This afternoon I called to see when it would get here he forgot to order it!
So now I am sleeping on the old mattress on the floor till next friday.
When Kim got home from school tonight, sh has after school art program, she was crying her eyes out.
Poor thing was not feeling well. Someone had sprayed parfume in her class room and she could not breath and got a headache from it. She went to the nurse and she was told to lay down for 10 minutes and sent back to the class room. It is raining and they had to go outside for recess. She has had a cough for over a month and I had her at the Dr's on friday her lungs were clear and she was given a cough syrup with codine so she could sleep. Now she has a fever and says her back and tummy hurts, and coughing hurts a lot. She is not going to school tomorrow and that means she wont get a perfect attendance this year, she did last year. If she has a fever tomorrow or it gets higher tonight I will take her to the Dr's again.
She has had pneumonia twice before and has had some respitory problems before. So I get real nervous when she gets sick.

Green

What Color is Your Brain?

GREEN:

At work or in school: I work best by myself. I like to focus on my ideas until my desire for understanding is satisfied. I am easily bored if the subject holds no interest to me. Sometimes, it is hard for me to set priorities because so many things are of interest.
With friends: I may seem reserved. Although my thoughts and feelings run deep, I am uneasy with frequent displays of emotion. I enjoy people who are interesting and of high integrity.
With family: I am probably seen as a loner because I like a lot of private time to think. Sometimes, I find family activities boring and have difficulty following family rules that don't make sense to me. I show love by spending time with my family and sharing ideas and interests.

Ok, ok I know I have not posted in a while, but I never do everyday anyway.
It seems like every time I get to the computer something comes up or I just don't have anything to say.
I have been busy knitting socks and I am almost finished with my fourth pair. I have been using the worsted weight pattern after I made up the first pair. I have a large stash of ww and I am trying to use it up, there is not really enough to make anything but socks or grannys squares or maybe a scarf.
I was going to give these socks to my kids for Christmas but they want them NOW.
It is starting to turn colder but not really cold enough to need footwarmers yet.
Last week we were in the mid 80's and now we are in the mid 60's and the nights are 45-50*, just right for sleeping.
In the evenings I have to drive about 60 miles round trip to pick my brother up from work, my sister takes him in the morning, because dads car is broke down and my brother does not have his license anymore. We should drive him from now on as dads driving is getting a bit scary, and there is no one else to drive him.
Yesterday I bought a new mattress set and I can't wait till it gets here. We have been sleeping on a mattress that is over 25 maybe over 30 years old and I have back trouble, so the new mattress will be very welcomed here. We are going from a king to a queen size so I'll have a bit more room in my bedroom. It will either be here later today or next friday. I can't wait.
I'll post pics of the socks later as well as the booga bag when I get it felted.
Right now I have to go to the post office to get stamps.

Yes I have been to these states. But not to visit or look around, but as a truck driver.
