My Old Friend

This is my old friend Rupert.
He is nearing 11 years old and is starting to have trouble getting moving at times. I know his hip is really hurting him. The other night I heard him yelp and whimper in pain. I gave him a Tylenol and some loving, and I put out an old blanket on the porch for him to lay on. He has lots of places he likes to lay but I picked the porch for the blanket. The weather has been cold and wet here and I hope he gets better when it gets warmer.
My son and I met Rupert when he was living on the streets. He was about 4 months old and had no one to take him home so we did. We are not sure what all the breeds are that are in him besides Husky. Both his eyes are golden.
His favorite thing to do is chase the squirrels up the tree or across the fence. He hardly barks and when he does the whole neighborhood comes out to see. He kind of yodels when he "talks" to us.

I hope he stays with us a few more years.

I GOT A RAISE!
I got my 60 day evaluation today. Good remarks on everything and a raise.
Now if I can get more hours it would be all good.

Has It Really Been That Long

WOW! Time flys.
I really have not been that busy but I have not been able to get to the computer.
When the kids are home they sit here and don't share. When Tom is home he sits here and plays cards all day and thinks I don't have any thing to do on the computer now that we don't have a business.
Work is going well except I am not getting hardly any hours. I have a standing time off request because of the youth groups I work with. No Sundays and off by 5 p.m. on Wednesday. My boss is having a hard time getting this through his head. I think this is his first time as a manager.
For the last 2 weeks my two oldest have been working at a printing office doing odd jobs for a friend and I helped out a couple of days. He had a lot of big orders and needs help making the deadlines. I take them after school and pick them up at 6 p.m. I hope they are picking up good work habbits there and not just waisting time. If there is enough work needed I might put in some more hours next week since I only have 10 hours at my job.
Oh Well.
