Busy, Busy, Busy

I have been very busy today. I crocheted most of the day, I got 2 doll bodys with dresses done, 1 head, and 6 arms. I'm doing kind of an assembly line to see if I can get them done faster. I need 4 by jan. of feb.
The hubby is off this weekend and taking the son out hunting. I think it is just an expensive hike in the woods.
My dad asked me if I could do some bead work for him today, red, white, and blue earrings. He said some of his lady friends are looking for some to buy, so I might put the crochet down for a day or two and do some beading.

It's monday

It's monday, what more can I say.
Nicole had her craft sale yesterday and made $76.25 all for the Red Cross. Whooo Hooo.
I was going to crochet a Santa and Mrs. but didn't get it done in time so I am still working on them. But she did empty my craft box.
I found out I need 3 maybe 4 more dolls before Jan.
I am looking for a pattern I promised to someone but I am having a hard time finding it, finding a lot of other stuff but no pattern.BooHoo
Well not much more around here for tonight.

HMMMMMMMM

Hmm, it has been a week since I was here last, what was I doing?
I have not been that busy I didn't think so anyway.
Let see, I finished another doll, knitted a scarf, started a Santa and Mrs. Dolls. I found the knifty knitters and made a hat, the girls love the knifty knitters they are work away on projects.
I am thinking about putting up the sewing machine and making some aprons, I don't know why, but maybe.
I've got to get some black and silver beads, believe it or not I don't have those colors in my stash, to make a beaded feather for my nephew. (singing) I get to go to the bead store. lol.

Today after getting the kids up for school I stayed up to type up the pattern for my crochet dolls.Done, Yippee.
I went to walmart last night to get some yarn and stuff and they were out of the knifty knitter. Boooo.
I am now working on a knitted scarf the ends are of pink fun fur and the body of the scarf is of caron's simply soft, soft pink. I am knitting it the old fashion way. I hope to get a knifty knitter soon.
Nicole is in charge of a craft sell next weekend I hope to have a few things to add to her table. All the procedes are going to the hurricane relief. The last craft sale made $50. I hope this one does too.

I Created a Monster

Yes what was I thinking when I taught my 9 year old daughter to crochet.
That she would be like her sister when I tried to teach her to knit, she gave up in less than a week.. Not Kim she has taken to crochet like a duck to water.
What is the down side you may ask?
She has taken ownership of my yarn basket. All my orphan yarns are now hers. She has made scarves and started an afgan, she wants to make one for her bed all in single crochet. As she is working on her projects she is looking over at me and my working basket of yarn, asking if I really need that color or this small ball. Everytime I leave the room I have to check my basket and hers to see if she has pilfered any. I love her dearly and can't wait to teach her more crochet stiches.
I had to take time off from crochet and do some trucking work. I had to do it so we can get some money. He works for money I work for fun.lol
When I did get back to crochet I finished another doll. I have the pattern writen in pencil and I need to get it into the computer, take some pics of some of the steps and then try to discribe how to do the hair. It is easy if I could show you in person.
The oldest is in charge of a craft sell in two weeks to bennifit the Katrina Disaster area so I was thinking of making the dolls into santa and mrs. clause for her sale.Hehe, this meant taking yarn back from Kim. I'll make her a doll.

Oh What a Day

I spent most of the day at the hospital waiting for my brother. He cut his finger on weds. and had to have surgery to pin the tendon back to the bone. I did not want him to be there all day with out someone there so I went because it was the hospital my mom died in. I kept checking in with the receptionist there and she said she was telling the nurses desk I was ther, BUT they never told me he was out or when he was ready to go home so he had to call dad to go pick him up. Talk about mad I was so upset that dad had to come over there when I was waiting all day and I did let them know how UNPLEASED I was. I did not yell or cuss but all in the waiting room knew it too.
While waiting I got some crocheting done and I did read a chapter or two of my Tony Hillerman book.^_^

Long Day

Ever have a long boring day that would not ever end?
That would have been today. Why I don't know. The sun was shining and it was a pleasent day , but blaaaaaaa.
I did some work for the truck and went to the bank but time was standing still.
Maybe I am in a funk I hope I come out soon. Hate to think I need to go back on antidepressents it has been over 5 years now.
Maybe it is just the hoplessness of the Katrina disaster. If that is it I she be ok when they start to rebuild and people quit pointing the finger.
On the bright side being in the trucking industry we will be hauling in the materials for the rebulid.
OK enough of this I'm going to bed.
