Multicrafter

I touch fabric, pet yarn and fondle beads, sometimes inappropriately.

The little ( ok not so little) booger took my crochet hooks with her on the truck.
I want to try a little crocheting tonight and she has my hooks. I guess she took it to heart when my dr. told her not to let me crochet but she left my knitting needles behind. If I had taught her to knit she might have taken my needles too.

I went to JoAnn's today for some fabric and used my 50% off coupon. They did not have to potholder book I wanted so I had to go to Micheals. And now no HOOKS!

I am in the mood to go camping.

The Cast is OFF!

Yep the cast came off on Tuesday.
The bad thing is my thumb and wrist is so stiff and painful I can't hardly move or lift anything and my skin is very sensitive. The good thing is the tendonititist pain is gone, so as soon as I can get to moving pain free I will be a happy camper again.

I can't wait till I can get back to some destressing crafting.

The little one is on the truck now with her dad. Hubby and daughter are on their way to the twin cities. Tuesday was her Dr. appt and she is 5'4" and will be 12 in Nov.
In just a few short months I will be the short one in this house, and I am 5'5". She will have a good time on the road she took some yarn and a hook with her.

Did I mention that I want to do some crafting really bad.

Thanks Kari! I got the Yarnie Swap package on friday. I love everything. I went to take pics for posting and when I found my camera the batteries were dead thanks to my daughter and her friend.
The shawl is perfect color and size, the candle, stich markers, my youngest cheered about these she said she could use them, the yarn bright colors, the teas, the sun catchers, the pattern books. All of it is just so wonderful. When the box came my kids were just as excited as I was. My youngest girl is into crocheting and likes to try different teas, she was wided eye and looking everything over closly. The 2 girls asked what I was going to do with the yarn and thread I said nothing for another 2 weeks. That is when the cast comes off, so I have time to think about it.
Thank you again Kari!!

The cast comes off a week from thursday. It has been very, very hot and muggy here this past week and this week to come. The cast feels like it is sticking to my arm. It is starting to smell bad too. If the heat and humidity keeps up by the time it comes off the EPA is going to tag it as a super site. I have been using fabric fresh at both ends of it.
The cast was a good idea the pain has gone down by 50% maybe 60%.

I hope every one had a good 4th of July.
for the last 7 days I have been working at the fireworks stand for my daughters org. Yes I know selling fireworks for 10+ hours a day is not resting my wrist, but I had to do it because no one else could put in that many hours. For the first 5 days I was worried that it would not be worth it but the last 2 days it picked up. Yesterday we sold over 4500$ worth of fireworks. All I could think when people walked away with over 100$ worth is what I could spend that money on that would be better thasn burning that kind of cash. My kids only got 10$ each for their fireworks.
I also got to work on my tan. My hubby has never seen me this dark in all our 16 years. I got a tiny bit sunburned and my peel, but I am still dark.
I bought a small cooling off pool today. It is not big enough to do anything but soak and cool off.
Thomas and Kimberly are going to camp next week, mondat to friday, home for the weekend and then back monday to friday. Nicole is out on the truck with hubby so next week it is just me at home and only 2 meetings to go to. What am I going to do the rest of the time. I can't do any craftiness. House cleaning and painting is out be cause I can't move the furniture. Read and float in the pool, maybe, hmmmmmmm.
Fireworks are going off now so I must tend to Rupert. The noise is making him bark wildly.
