Where do I start?
The truck has been down for 2 weeks. First it was down for 1 day but it set us back on the weekend, so 4 days behind. Then it was down for a week to rebuild the topend of the engine. He was in California this time and if it wer'nt for my aunt and uncle it would of cost another 1500.00 for hotel and food, I love them for taking care of my hubby. The cost of repairs more than I want to think about, 6500.00. We have cut living cost down so much that we will be losing weight.LOL.Because of the timing of the break downs is why I say we lost 2 weeks of work.
I have not really done much woork over these 2 weeks but I have gotten started on a few projects.
Still working on the black shawl but that is in the waiting room bag and I have not been in the waiting rooms in a while. I have a country blue poncho on the hook now ans well as an orchid afghan, it is in three shades of orchid. I did do a quick baby afghan in powder yellow and soft blue worked together.
The oldest has started working on the niffty knitters making beanies for new borns and premies, her dr told her they could use some at the clinic for the babies. I don't know how long she will keep working on them before she gets bored and quits. I was just happy she decided to work with yarn in some way, she wont knit or crochet.
I need to start working on some bead projects my bag of made stuff to sell is done to nothing. There is a pow wow this weekend so I know I could sell something if I had anything ready. I think my beads miss me fondling them.
Time to get back to house work, YUCK!!!

Bragging Time

O.K. I am going to brag.
This weekend was a fun event for my girls and the organization they belong to. They get together for competetions and just to get to know each other from around the state. This weekend my girls competeted in lots of events. The oldest competed in 2 sewing, arts and crafts, cooking, drama, and for a spot on the state team, and together with her sister lip-sync.
She got 1st in drama. 1st in cooking, (thanks for the idea of putting pudding in the cooking recipe Cordelia), and 1st in arts and crafts.
The youngest entered 12 competetions, 2 sewing, cooking, 6 arts and crafts,creative writing, and reciting from memory. She got 1st with her applaque, latch hook, and drawing, 2nd in crochet, 3rd in paint by number, cooking, and in memorizing.
My niece went also and got 1st in applaque and 3rd in arts and crafts.
Dispite the 4 hour drive to and from and not getting much sleep I had a great time.

This weekend.
I am going away for the weekend to eastern Washington with my girls, my son is going to northern Washington.
My son will be joining in some sporting games with the organization he belongs to. He will have a lot of fun.
The girls and I are going with our organization. The girls are going to be doing a lot of competitions, arts and crafts, lip-sync, drama, creative writing, and cooking. The oldest is in 5 competitions and the yougest, the little go getter, is in 12. There will be lots of time to get to know others girls from around the state and hang with old friends too.
I just checked the weather and it looks good for going over the pass the afternoon, no putting on the chains. I just hope coming home Sunday will be just as good.

The truck is broke down again. Last week it was a fan hub that needed to be rebuilt now it may be a whole engine rebuild that is really be costly. Hopefully it is just the rings that need replacing still a lot for us at this time. The only saving grace is hubby is in town where my aunt lives and he is staying with her while the work is getting done. He does not really know her but we can not afford a hotel and meals for him, the truck will be down for the rest of the week.
I have been depressed and not done any crafting of any kind this past week, not even crochet and that relaxes me.
