I'M UP, DRESSED, AND BLOGGGING. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT?

Not much really going on here.
The bed kicked me out this morning. I just could not lay there comfortable this morning so I had to get up.
I had been watching tv or reading and some crocheting while sitting on my bed so the kids could watch tv in the living room. I am getting tired of the kids making a mess of my bed when they watch tv in my room.
I am slowly getting back to crafting again. I have started my second set of the chicken potholders.
I have not spent much time online this summer because the kids are on it all the time. I gave them a 2 hour limit for online and they like to do things off line too.
This weekend is a girls weekend. We are going camping with the girls organization. So we will be with about 200 girls from around the state. Just hanging out while camping in the mountains. Next week it is camping at the beach with the boys organization.
School starts on Sept. 4th. I still need to do the school shopping. Every time I mention this to hubby he reminds me that there is 3 taxes due at the end of this month plus all the regular bills. Like I could ever forget.
I have been looking for a job. It has been over 12 years since I had a job outside of the house and I don't have a lot of skills to get a job that is not in food service or standing at a cash register. I hate dealing with stupid people so finding a job I would like is going to be hard. I am not in any real rush to find one either, but Tom thinks I should just take what ever just to get back in the job market. My going back to work is more his idea than mine. I am a volunteer leader with the kids organizations (thats 2 groups)and hold office in the schools PTA.
I also keep track of his trucking business he calls every day wanting to know what is in the bank accounts and about any faxes that come in. He also wants to take on leases from other truckers so I would be doing other peoples faxes and keeping track of them. So when would I have time for a job.
I need to go and get something to get rid of sand fleas. It is flea season here and the carpet is full of them. They come in every year at this time.
So I'm off to the store.

Maybe you could find a part-time job somewhere-I know it's tough, I volunteer at the school too and am lucky to have found a job that allows for that. Maybe something at the school? (I work there too as a sub).

Elena got torn up bad from sand fleas yesterday at Latch Key and I have two bites on me from the buggers from the other night outside-I hate em!

What to know a non chemical trick to use for killing some of the fleas in your carpet, in addition to what you can get at the store? Put a nightlight in a dark room where the problem area is. Put a bucket or shorter container of water under the light. Shut off the overhead lights and go to bed. The fleas are attracted to the light and when they jump up, they land in the bucket of water and croak. My friend lives on a farm and a few years ago they were infested. They were coming through the window screens. She Did this in the house and outside under the front and back door porch lights. For several nights, the buckets outside were loaded. We are talking a good 4 inches of dead fleas.
