Weather

The weather around here has been up and down. Last week it was hotter than the blazes and then it got cold and wet and today it is hot again.
I have been picking up extra hours at work. Last week I only had 4 shifts and I worked 6 and the week before I did the same thing. I guess they are not used to people saying yes as fast and often as I do when they call. I'll even go back for a second shift sometimes.
Money is real tight around here. There are more bills being on final notices than I have had before and Tom is having kittens over it. Tom's runs have been cut to 2 a week instead of 3, he gets a day of being on the clock but sometimes it is not enough. I will get 8 hours next week because I will be going on a 3 day field trip with Kim and her 6th grade class.
I am looking forward to the field trip even if it is with 10 kids. We will be going to Rosland a mining town (Northern Exposer was filmed there too). The to the Ginkgo Petrified Forrest in Vantage. We will then spend the night in Winthrop a little western town. On the second day we will go to Republic and split open shale looking for fossils of leaves then back to Winthrop for the night. On the third day we will go to Leavenworth a German town in the Cascades before coming home. I went 2 years ago and had a lot of fun.
On the crafty side I have made lots of chicken potholders and washcloths.I donated them for auction for the girls organization. They sold well. I am making a pair of chickens in red and black for a gal at work.
Time to go for now.
