I'm Back
It was a fun 3 days with all the kids.
There was 10 6th graders and it was fun watching them discover and see what they had be learning about in school. They got to be hands on with stuff they only saw in books.
Most of these kids had never been out of town before or away from their family. They were fun to watch. They were very good and stayed together for the most part.
I was looking at them each and relized something very sad. Out of the 10 only 4 still has both parents in their home. One does not know at the end of school were he is going to go, home or somewhere else. One girl is treated like her moms best friend not as her daughter another does not even know where her mom is and lives with grandma. Another is between grandma and aunties because she gets in the way of her moms boyfriend. The stories just get sadder I am amazed they do so well in school. I am glad I got to be part of their life for 3 days.
